About Me

My photo
Hello to family and friends! I have decided to start blogging so that everyone can see what is going on here in NC. As you all know, I am married to a wonderful man Josh and we have three beautiful children Tyler, Alexis, and Jacen. I am a very proud wife and mother to my family and I wouldnt change it for anything in the world. We currently live 1,000 miles away from our family and friends that were in our lives each and everyday and plan on being here for another 4 years but soon enough we will be reunited with them and that will be an amazing day! We miss everyone so much. But until then, keep up with our blog to find out what goes on in our world down here :)

Growing up WAY to fast

Jacen is now over 4 months old, almost 5 months and he is already eating solids! Green beans were what we tried out first and he did pretty good :) He is growing up right before our eyes and it is happening WAY to fast!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The kids had Taco Bell, we played outside in the 70 degree weather, and took some pictures of us in GREEN! No pinching in this household :)

1st Workout=Sucess

Today was the first day of my 30 day with Jillian and it totally kicked my butt! It was non-stop for 20 mins and I thought the warmup was hard! Take into consideration that I have had 3 children and never worked out in my life, lol. But I did finish the full workout and was sweating the most I ever have. My legs and arms are hurting so I know it is working. :) The worst part about it was afterwards when I wanted something sweet and salty. Some type of junk food. Instead I had grapes. :) I think its a good start. Now its just keeping up with it5 days a week. Right now I am at 145....lets see where I'm at 1 month from today :)

P.S.
We are very excited to see everyone in May!

Josh is starting school in late April so the kids and I have decided to go back to Missouri for the month of May and stay with Gma Charlotte and Aunt Tonya until they come down to NC in June and we go on vacation to Myrtle Beach. I am very excited that we get to come back and see all of our family and friends. I know that our days are going to be busy but that will be such a good thing! A lot of people will be meeting Jacen for the first time and Tyler and Alexis will LOVE all the attention that they get because we never get to spend time with anyone. There is one thing that really needs to be done amoung all the other things before we do leave for our adventure and that is for me to really start working out! Tommorrow I am going grocery shopping and I am going to skip the aisle with the snacks and cakes, the ice cream, and oh so yummy food and replace them with oatmeal and fruits! I also am going to try and do sit ups, push ups, squats, and 3lb wieghts for my arms a few times a day. I also want to start getting myself on a schedule and waking up before my children. The reason for these changes is so I can start to feel better about myself but also so I can get out of my 1 pair of jeans and 3 shirts that I wear. Litterally. I want to be able to buy myself some clothes that I feel good in. After all, it will be summer and I WONT be pregnant! :) I know I'm not going to lose my goal weight of 15lbs but 5 or 10 would be nice!

Tyler & Mommy go to the Dentist

Tyler had his first Dentist apt and he loved it! Not scared at all. In fact, when I was getting mine cleaned he kept asking when it was his turn. He helped the hygeinest count his teeth and take pictures of them too :) It was a little sad because it just shows that he is growing up really fast but at the same time it was a memory that him and I will always share (even though he wont remember when he's older) lol. This mom will never forget it! Oh, and he has perfect teeth! Want to know more?! Just call the him and ask. He will tell you all about it!

Its been a while...

Yes it has! There has been a ton of things since the last time I wrote. Tyler turned 3 in September and is now 3 1/2 and is smarter than his own good and so tall! :) October was the time for Halloween and when Maw Maw Joann, PaPa Tony, and Great Gma Moore came to visit and it was such a blast! The day they planned on leaving is the day that our newest member Jacen was born. We say that his lucky number is 8 for this reason. I went to the hospital and was 8 cm dialated, between the time being at the hospital and having him it was 88 min, he was 8lbs 8oz and born on Nov 8th. So yes, 8 shall be his number :) Right after that, Maw Maw Charlotte and Aunt Tonya came down and visited for a week and like always, it was a good time. Then it was Thanksgiving and birthdays and Christmas. A busy time for everyone. We had Papa Bob and Great Gma Burleyson down for Christmas and New Years and we learned some new card games and it was a nice visit but by the begining of the new year, this Mommy wanted her house back. We enjoyed everyone visiting but it was time to get back into our routine of things. But we are still working on that. Three kids and routines are hard but I will get it down! :)

So in the midst of everything going on we were also at the stage where Josh's 4 yr contract was ending soon so we had to make a decision. Should we stay in or get out. We decided together that staying in would be the best for our family but he wanted to switch to a different MOS, meaning a different job. Intelligence is what he decided on but when they told him that they were dropping 20,000 Marines and there were only 26 slots to get into for this position and 60 people were applying, we are thinking that we might be done with the Marine Corps and have to start civilian life. And right now in this economy, its not a great time to be starting over with 3 children and parents who have no school behind them except high school diplomas. We were scared, stressed, nervous. You name it, we were it. But as it turned out, he got accepted and we are so thankful. :) It was such a relief knowing that we were going to be able to provide for our family and have that security for the next 4 years and then get out of the Marine Corps and be able to provide a very stable life for our children. Thats what we have wanted all along. As for me, I will continue to stay home until Jacen starts kindergarten which really isnt very long. 4 years has already past by in a blink of an eye and it seems like just last week it was Tyler that was born. I would like to start cosmetology school sometime and also take some photography classes so I can get use to my camera and maybe do that as a hobby but we will see. Right now I am focusing on what I've been doing and that is being a mother and a wife. I couldnt ask for anything more or anything less. I truly have it all! Thank you to my husband who has worked so hard and letting me have my dream. A dream that I never knew I wanted until our first child was born. Everything else can go on the back burner :) I love you!

Tyler is 34lbs 8oz and 38 inches tall in the 85th% and Alexis is 24lbs 13 oz and 31 inches tall in the 50th %. She said that they are in great hands and look very healthy! :) Tyler has his 3 year appt coming up next month and Alexis doesnt go back until she is 2. I cant believe he is going to be 3 already!!! Talk to you soon, Michelle and family
